Foster Lake & Pond Management, Inc. has been owned and operated by Johnny Foster since the establishment in 1983. After graduating from North Carolina State University in 1974, Foster worked for the University for 9 years. Foster became an expert on eel aquaculture while working on a project near New Bern, NC determining the biological feasibility of farming eels in eastern North Carolina for the export market. Eventually relocating to Belhaven, NC Foster worked on a project near Aurora, NC demonstrating and advising the public about aquaculture of various species. He developed a working knowledge about pond management as well as live fish handling and holding system management. Foster was among the very first commercial fish stocking companies in the state. An emphasis on advising and educating customers before and after the sale remains a priority for the company.

Foster Lake & Pond Management, Inc. serves all of North Carolina, Southern Virginia, Northern Georgia and the I-95 corridor through South Carolina. Products are provided through mail-order wherever permitted. The entire staff is highly educated with extensive experience. All of our recommendations emphasize sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions that are cost-effective and long lasting.
